In line with the powerful global trend towards smarter fashion solutions, a new initiative titled ‘Nature Moves Us’ is being presented by Interfilière, a platform dedicated to defining the importance of more sustainable materials and smart, responsible manufacturing while reducing waste, pollutants and focusing on recycling as a smarter way forward for the intimate wear, beach and hosiery sectors. Asahi Kasei has been invited to be a part of this and to showcase their best fabric and fashion smart innovations using its world-renowned ROICA™ and Cupro. Each of these material brands can boast eco-credentials that match the message behind the Nature Moves Us story. The Trend Forum represents a key inspirational area for fair’s visitors, this year, in addition to the traditional selection of fabrics; some special developments with high inspirational content were requested to participants.
For this area, Asahi Kasei will present a modern take on the zero waste constructed Kimono by Zerobarracento with Cupro redefining nightwear using a delicate fabric from Ipeker made in Cupro hand painted by the expert artisan Silvia Giorgetti.
Cupro is a matchless refined material with an exquisite and sensual silk like touch. It is made responsibly from bio-utility waste cotton linters and transformed into a world first, high-tech natural material with a unique precious softness and versatility. Cupro boasts laboratory verified end of life options, with a finalized LCA study, signed by ICEA. This important step builds and confirms a new quality profile that helps define Cupro’s more responsible.

For ROICA™, the premium stretch fiber by Asahi Kasei offering an innovative range of smart functions to suit contemporary consumer Modern Wardrobe need, and a key player of this area thanks to its unique offer of sustainable stretch yarn , we have 2 amazing super refined examples of design and smart materials:

• an exclusive and elegant lace long dress from Iluna Group, created in collaboration with Valery, starting from an allover textronic ultralight lace with a complex organic design completely made of recycled materials, using ROICA™ Eco-Smart family of premium and responsible stretch yarns

• A body both under- and outer-wear by Tessitura Colombo inspired both from the typical mix of colours and the centrifugal movement of many natural phenomenon. This allover Eco-Lace is completely made with eco-recycled materials, and the premium stretch performance is guaranteed by the use of world first unique sustainable GRS certified premium stretch yarns belonging to ROICA™ Eco-Smart family by Asahi Kasei.

• A lingerie set by Maglificio Ripa made with ROICA™ CF yarn and ROICA™ Eco- Smart family mixed with a nylon with 100% bio-based origin. The prototype has been designed to meet the current demand of an underwear that mixes comfort, glamour and ecological perfect fit. This set plays as a sport and comfortable daily wireless bra, getting an ideal soft support both for light fitness and everyday wearing, it is designed and made in Italy by Paola Maltese Designer Studio in cooperation with Lepel.

To support the “Nature Move Us “ initiative, Interfilière will also host conferences concerning this subject and Asahi Kasei, in cooperation with C.L.A.S.S. (Creativity Lifestyle and Sustainable Synergy) the unique global information point for innovative eco-smart materials based on responsible innovation, will explore ROICA™ and Cupro brand materials from a very specific perspective such as circular economy and smart innovation.
